Who pays for lawsuit abuse? YOU DO!
Our justice system is intended to make people whole, not rich. Unfortunately it is too often abused by those who view our legal system as a lottery where even dubious claims can lead to a huge payday. We all pay the price when our civil justice system is abused.
When it comes to lawsuit abuse, we all pay - and we all lose.
About MDCALA
Maryland Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (MDCALA) is a grassroots movement of people who are concerned that lawsuit abuse hurts Maryland families, healthcare patients and employers and can ultimately cost jobs and limits access to all types of goods and services. MDCALA is dedicated to educating the public about the costs and consequences of lawsuit abuse and returning common sense and fairness to our court system.
MDCALA represents real people - small business owners, health care providers, professionals, retirees, homeowners and others - who are tired of paying for an out-of-control legal system that rewards abuse.
